In 2002 Oskar Blues became the first craft beer brewery to can their own hugely popular Dale’s Pale Ale after brewing the beer in their basement since the late 90’s. This step ignited the popularization of canning craft beers leading Oskar Blues to open two new satellite breweries; Brevard, NC in 2013 and Austin, TX in 2016. The Brevard brewery is located in the hills of the Pisgah National Forest making it a frequent stop for hikers, bikers, locals, and those driving through the beautiful Appalachian Mountains. They approached our team at Admark Graphics for help in branding their fleet and multiple architectural surfaces.

The Challenge
Oskar Blues challenged Admark to produce graphics that look the same in real life as they do in art form. The brewery has a unique and dynamic aesthetic that sets their brand apart from their competitors. The projects have ranged from wrapping food trucks, to their trailer fleet, to wall murals.
With short turn-around times, we needed to determine final graphics measurements, provide cost estimates, receive final art versions, then manufacture and install the graphics.
How We Did It
Acting Fast
Our team was able to produce and complete the first trailer project within 46 days of initial contact. Due to our extended installer network and close ties to the region, Admark had installation crews available on site to fit the time frame requested by Oskar Blues.
Testing Materials
We provided Oskar Blues with the correct vehicle art templates, printed vinyl color proofs, and tested materials for adhesion to ensure the quality and longevity of each wrap. The art templates allowed Oskar Blues to be creative with designs as unique to them as their funky branding. This also prevented creative elements from falling into cracks or being distorted by body lines.
Ensuring Quality
Before finalizing the application, we did paper tape-ups to see how the art lined up in person to ensure the brewery was happy with all elements and colors.
After Admark
The collaboration between Oskar Blue’s art designs and Admark’s production capabilities created eye-catching designs emulating their distinctive brand and beers. One of the wall murals we produced and installed in the tasting room of the Brevard brewery has created a lot of buzz in the community as an attractive addition and brand photo op. With the success of completed projects, Oskar Blues is looking into more opportunities to partner with Admark to allow for increased brand awareness.
